Hi, I’m Breanna. I’m a SAHM to 3 of the wildest / sweetest kids on earth and happily married (going on 11 years) to David who is my opposite in every way. Taking it one day at a time.
I LOVE Jesus with all my heart.
Name: Breanna Escalante
Living in: Riverside, Ca
Kids: Hannah (9), Emma (6), Elijah (4) and 32 weeks prig with baby brother
What amazes you most about being a mom?
The wildly different personalities of each of my children. I love watching them grow and trying to give them each the attention and love they need to bloom and grow.
When did you realize you were ready to start a family and be all grown up?
The only thing I have every been sure of in my whole life is that I wanted to be a mom. I always said I wanted a dozen but we’ll see.
What’s the one thing you said you’d never do as a mom, but ended up doing?
I was so judgmental of kids watching tv until I had my own now I’m like Mama needs a shower take it away Paw Patrol.
How would you describe yourself as a parent?
I’m a hot mess as a Mama, I love having fun and running around with my babes but I’m also strict, never thought I would be but turns out I’m my mothers daughter in every way.
What’s your ‘escape’ from being a mom, what keeps you sane?
My best friend Carol comes to rescue me often from mom life, whether it’s a quick drive thru to Starbucks and quick catch up convo in the car or a day together to run wild and free to just remember who I am apart from mom. I couldn’t imagine life without the amazing support I have of wonderful women in my life.
Which human values do you consider most important to teach our kids?
Love, compassion, service and wisdom now to figure out how to instill these values, besides trying to model it for them in my daily life I think it would be completely impossible. Mommin ain’t easy!
What are you struggling with while raising your kid(s)?
The biggest struggle right now is balance, balancing time and duties, balancing structure and fun, finding a balance is a great idea but much harder to put into practice.
Growing up, who inspired you the most? And why?
My grandma inspired me the most growing up, she had a difficult life since day one and pushed past things that would destroy anyone else to become stronger and help and uplift everyone around her.
If you could meet anyone in person (dead or alive) who would it be and why?
Jesus! Um hello how awesome would that be?!?!?
What do you wish you would have done differently in the last 10 years?
Regrets? No! Just No! I think everything is a learning experience and if we don’t go through the rough patches we could never fully enjoy the good times.
What is a goal you want to achieve in the next 10 years?
Higher education is definitely a goal I’d like to achieve in the next 10 years. To be a professional and feel accomplished in the world would be wonderful, however with that said if I’m just raising incredible children I will feel equally accomplished.
If you could give your great grand children some advice, what would it be?
Be kind to your mother, she loves you and is doing the best she can. I would also say time waits for no one, if you have a dream work hard to achieve it.
What song do you see as your life’s theme song?
Yikes! Think, think, think, Jack Johnson Banana Pancakes, what it came to mind, it’s our favorite Saturday morning song to listen to while we make breakfast which means I cook, the babes try to help, lots of spills but hopefully memories that will last a lifetime.
